The Midland Organization of Mothers is a group of Mom/friends who sponsor this event each year to encourage excellence
in mothering, to learn parenting skills and to offer moral support. We understand that the values mothers teach and exemplify,
and the love they give within their homes and community are vital to happy families and a stable society.
The Midland Organization of Mothers (M.O.M.) is behind an effort to pay tribute to some of the most important (and least
recognized) people in the world--our Moms. In honor of Mother's Day, M.O.M. will be organizing a reception to honor several
special moms whose dedication to their families and untiring efforts are overdue for some special recognition. The evening
will be dedicated to paying tribute to these women and to the profession of motherhood in general as the bedrock of our society.
Each woman will be honored with a personal tribute, and a certificate citing her as Midland Mom of the Year Honoree for 2007.
The reception is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 12, 2007 from 7:00-8:30pm. In addition, each nominee (whether chosen
as a 2007 honoree or not) will receive a remembrance from M.O.M. and the other sponsors, thanking her and recognizing her
for her contribution as a mother to her family and our community.
